Concept Street Lights
Posted by BuzzBeast on Thursday, Apr 01, 2010
Part of the Quartier des spectacles Lighting Plan:Intersection Signalétique was designed to guide pedestrians moving about at night. Intersection Signaletique uses special projectors from above to create messages on the streets, and its application is three-fold: advertisement, direction, and decoration. The current system, an experimental prototype, is constucted of several projectors that are suspended from towers, synchronized with the traffic light system already in place. Intersection Signalétique projects lights on the crosswalks, signaling to the passers when it’s safe to cross. It is also able to display the names of intersecting streets as well as nearby events and shops directly on to the pavement. More info and photos Via: Buzz Beast
