Is This The World's First Remixable Youtube Video?

Not sure why, but something about this video reminds me of that movie Donnie Darko. I think it’s the fact that you can kinda alter the dancer’s time arrow. Well, at least you can change the music and the dance moves. Or because it was made on the cheap. Either way, “The Mixable Dancer” is the first real interactive video I’ve seen on Youtube. And as such it feels more proof of concept than proof of life.
“I think YouTube is a great forum not only for fun time-wasters but also for people to come in contact with noncommercial creativity,” director Henrik Leichsenring told Wired. “You don’t have to buy anything, learn anything or download anything to interact and mix this video.”
Well, unless you’re making the video to begin with, in which case you need a black sheet, a Canon Digital IXUS 100 IS, Ableton Live 8 and, for editing, Adobe Photoshop and After Effects. Also, having a job as a full-time art director at an advertising agency in Sweden doesn’t hurt. Now Leichsenring is looking for a job. Maybe Eclectic Method or Sosolimited could use some backup dancing?

Reminds me of DD as well but not as much as that awesome Bat for Lashes video with the bunnies and bikes.

I don't know how this works but it's really cool. Not crazy about the tunes, but who cares?
