Want to feel insignificant?

Telescope and imaging technology is allowing us to scan the cosmos for amazing interstellar bodies. When not tuning in on Mars, Jupiter, and our other close kin, our telescopes point out into the great beyond… allowing us to get awesome images of recursive galaxies, and countless stars.
I’ve been an astronomy geek for some time, but nothing has given me such a sense of the massive scale of our universe as the following video. VY Canis Majoris, a star in the Canis Major constellation, is the largest known solar body in the universe, and you’ll wet your pants with terror, and excitement, when you see how our sun stacks up.
